For Saji Mathews, these are not merely inspiring words; they are a lived philosophy.
His journey began in a modest rural environment, where limited resources never limited his dreams. Walking several kilometres to school and studying in an institution with only the most basic facilities, he learned early that circumstances may shape our beginnings, but they need not define our destiny. His determination eventually took him from rural schooling to higher education, and from university to the competitive world of a multinational organisation.
At a defining stage of his professional journey, after completing his studies in Computer Applications and beginning his corporate career, Saji suddenly experienced complete loss of vision. What could have been the end of his professional aspirations became the beginning of an extraordinary transformation.
He chose to rebuild—not by surrendering to circumstances, but by adapting to them. He mastered screen-reading technology, reinvented his approach to work and learning, pursued an MBA and went on to build a diverse professional career spanning government organisations, academia, research, administration and management.
